R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of F. W. Hendricks of San Marcos, who passed away on March 7, 2013,
  at the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, "Dub" Hendricks was born on August 17, 1933, in Fort
  Cobb, Oklahoma, to Mark and Nessie Hendricks; a veteran of the
  Korean War, Mr. Hendricks served in the United States Army for
  three years; and
         WHEREAS, On November 10, 1960, he married the former Betty
  Jean Frankfather in Midland; the couple were blessed with three
  sons, William, Earl, and John, and with the passing years,
  Mr. Hendricks took great joy in welcoming into their family 13
  grandchildren and a great-grandchild; and
         WHEREAS, Moving to San Marcos in 1979, Mr. Hendricks became
  pastor of Community Baptist Church that same year; devoted to his
  faith, he served the congregation for more than three decades and
  led the members in song even on the morning of the day he died; and
         WHEREAS, Dub Hendricks lived a rich and purposeful life
  centered around his faith and his family, and memories of his wisdom
  and abiding concern for others will remain a lasting source of
  inspiration to those he leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of F. W. Hendricks and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Betty Jean Hendricks; to his sons, William Hendricks, Earl
  Hendricks and his wife, Michelle, and John Hendricks; to his 12
  grandchildren and his great-grandchild; and to his other relatives
  and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Dub
  Hendricks.
