R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Students at Woodway Elementary School in Waco have |
|
|
raised nearly $11,000 to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research |
|
|
Foundation; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Joining together to make a positive difference, |
|
|
these notable young Texans solicited donations from the community |
|
|
and participated in a walk in an effort to increase awareness for |
|
|
this important cause; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Included among the students who supported the |
|
|
initiative were Drew Pinkstaff, Owen Ilfrey, Braylon Compton, Kevin |
|
|
Greenwood, Sophie Dunman, Aahil Ali, Liam Nesmith, Leland |
|
|
McCullough, Zak Keen, Hannah Gochis, and Tatum Holt; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The children of Woodway Elementary School have |
|
|
contributed to the fight against juvenile diabetes, and they have |
|
|
set an outstanding example of teamwork and generosity to which all |
|
|
may aspire; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the students of Woodway Elementary |
|
|
School for raising nearly $11,000 to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes |
|
|
Research Foundation and extend to them sincere best wishes for the |
|
|
future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Woodway Elementary School as an expression of high |
|
|
regard by the Texas House of Representatives. |
