R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew Estrada-Millican of Carrollton has scored a |
|
|
perfect 2400 on the SAT, and this rare feat is indeed deserving of |
|
|
recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A junior at Creekview High School, |
|
|
Mr. Estrada-Millican attended McCoy Elementary and DeWitt Perry |
|
|
Middle Schools, where he was part of the LEAP program, a magnet |
|
|
program for the highly gifted; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This notable young Texan has proven to be an |
|
|
exceptional student who has demonstrated great dedication and |
|
|
intellectual ability; in addition to numerous math, science, and |
|
|
music awards, he also earned the Crimson Honor Einstein Award in |
|
|
2011 and 2012; following his high school graduation, he plans to |
|
|
study chemical engineering; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Matthew Estrada-Millican has demonstrated |
|
|
initiative and maturity in pursuing his academic goals, and he is a |
|
|
source of great pride to his family and his community; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Matthew Estrada-Millican on |
|
|
attaining a perfect score on the SAT and extend to him sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Estrada-Millican as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
