R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Aidan Powell Wright of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
|
No. 714 in Carrollton has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; Mr. Wright has earned merit badges requiring |
|
|
expertise in such diverse areas as first aid, personal fitness, and |
|
|
environmental science, and he has gained experience in leadership |
|
|
and teamwork while undertaking an Eagle Scout project, which |
|
|
involved organizing multiple waterway cleanup efforts across |
|
|
Carrollton; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, An eighth-grader at Arbor Creek Middle School, this |
|
|
fine young Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability |
|
|
throughout his scouting career, winning the respect and admiration |
|
|
of his fellow scouts as he worked toward the highest rank that |
|
|
scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Wright's dedication to excellence and |
|
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Aidan Powell Wright on achieving |
|
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Wright as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
