R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Alexa Pagano of Atascocita Middle School in Humble |
|
|
earned the Overall Award of Excellence in Dance Choreography at the |
|
|
2013 Texas PTA Reflections competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Founded in 1969, PTA Reflections has involved |
|
|
millions of student performers and artists from across the country |
|
|
over the past 45 years; the Texas 2013 Reflections program, The |
|
|
Magic of a Moment, received 1,054 entries in six categories: dance |
|
|
choreography, film production, literature, photography, musical |
|
|
composition, and visual arts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Only 30 entrants were recognized with the Overall |
|
|
Award of Excellence, and Alexa Pagano's dance piece, "This Is Me," |
|
|
received that honor in the Middle Junior division; as a result, she |
|
|
will advance to the national PTA competition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Anthony and Claudine |
|
|
Pagano, Alexa Pagano has demonstrated exceptional talent and |
|
|
dedication as a dance choreographer, and she may take justifiable |
|
|
pride in her notable accomplishment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Alexa Pagano on receiving the |
|
|
Overall Award of Excellence in Dance Choreography in the 2013 Texas |
|
|
PTA Reflections competition and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Pagano as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
