H.R. No. 1461
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Words cannot express the sorrow felt at the death of
  Officer Jonathan Keith Molina of the El Paso Police Department on
  October 5, 2012, at the age of 29; and
         WHEREAS, Jonathan Molina was born in El Paso to Hussim Weaver
  and Mauricio Molina, Sr.; the youngest of three children, he played
  football for Austin High School and enjoyed a friendly rivalry with
  his brother and sister, who attended Bowie High; and
         WHEREAS, After graduating in 2002, Officer Molina answered
  his nation's call to duty and enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps,
  serving tours of duty in both Afghanistan and Iraq; he then returned
  home to serve his community as a member of the El Paso Police
  Department, and during his four years as a peace officer, he earned
  the respect and admiration of his fellow officers; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted son and brother, Jonathan Molina found his
  purpose in serving his nation and the city he loved, and though his
  life ended far too soon, his legacy of loyalty, honor, and
  dedication to duty will remain to inspire and comfort all who knew
  him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jonathan Keith
  Molina and extend sincere condolences to the members of his family:
  to his mother, Hussim Weaver; to his father, Mauricio Molina, Sr.;
  to his sister, Jessica Molina; to his brother, Mauricio Molina; and
  to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Officer
  Jonathan Molina.
