R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
of Anita Whitus Huff of Mineola, who passed away on February 16, |
|
2013, at the age of 76; and |
|
WHEREAS, The former Anita Whitus was born in Lindale on |
|
December 27, 1936, to E. O. and Grace Whitus; she was a valued |
|
resident of the Mineola community, where she was a devout member of |
|
New Hope Baptist Church and she delivered mail for the United States |
|
Postal Service until her retirement in 1995; and |
|
WHEREAS, In all her endeavors, Mrs. Huff enjoyed the support |
|
of her husband, James, until his passing in 1975; she was devoted to |
|
her children, James, Jerry, Janice, and Ellen, and over the passing |
|
years, she also took great joy in welcoming into her family 10 |
|
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Anita Huff lived a caring and purposeful life, and |
|
she will forever be remembered with deep affection by all those who |
|
held her close to their hearts; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Anita Whitus Huff |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
children, James Huff, Jr., and his wife, Loretta, Jerry Huff and his |
|
wife, Brenda, Janice Huff, and Ellen Brooke and her husband, Steve; |
|
to her brother, E. F. Whitus; to her grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Anita |
|
Whitus Huff. |
