R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A 50th wedding anniversary marks a lifetime of |
|
|
mutual devotion and shared experiences, and Wayne and Barbara Rhea |
|
|
of Liberty Hill celebrated this joyous milestone in their marriage |
|
|
on March 29, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rhea were joined in matrimony in 1963 |
|
|
at a ceremony held at Sky View Baptist Church in Austin; through the |
|
|
years, they have been blessed with a treasured family that includes |
|
|
two children and their spouses, Bret and Mickey Rhea and Laina and |
|
|
Justin Merkord, Mr. Rhea's daughter, Rosemary Wallace, and her |
|
|
husband, Jim, and five grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A Texas native, Mrs. Rhea graduated from Round Rock |
|
|
High School and is retired from the Pedernales Electric |
|
|
Cooperative; Mr. Rhea graduated from Austin High School and retired |
|
|
following a 40-year career as an electrician with the International |
|
|
Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local Union 520; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Rhea have enjoyed half a century of |
|
|
abiding love and affection for each other, and they are among an |
|
|
exceptional group of men and women who can claim such a lasting |
|
|
commitment; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Wayne and Barbara Rhea on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rhea as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
