R E S O L U T I O N
|
| |
|
|
WHEREAS, Rockdale High School senior Jamie Czajkowski won the |
|
|
state title in the 198-pound weight class at the Texas High School |
|
|
Powerlifting Association Division 2 State Championships, held |
|
|
March 23, 2013, in Abilene; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Czajkowski surpassed 13 other competitors to |
|
|
become state champion, and he set a new state record for the bench |
|
|
press by hoisting 445 pounds; his combined total of 1,575 pounds in |
|
|
the three lifts outdistanced the second place finisher by 120 |
|
|
pounds; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Guided by coach Andre Johnson, Mr. Czajkowski has |
|
|
put in long hours in the weight room and worked diligently to |
|
|
perfect his technique; in addition to becoming the first state |
|
|
powerlifting champion from Rockdale High, he established three |
|
|
school records during his senior year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A state title can be attained only through hard work |
|
|
and an enduring commitment to be the best, and Jamie Czajkowski may |
|
|
take great pride in realizing that remarkable accomplishment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jamie Czajkowski of Rockdale High |
|
|
School on winning the 2013 Texas High School Powerlifting |
|
|
Association Division 2 state championship in the 198-pound weight |
|
|
class and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Czajkowski as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
