R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Kristin Curtis is being inducted into the Tarleton
  State University Athletic Hall of Fame on June 1, 2013, the second
  time that she has received that prestigious honor; and
         WHEREAS, Enshrined as an individual athlete in 2002, Ms.
  Curtis is now entering the hall as a member of the 1991-1992 TexAnns
  basketball team that reached the National Association of
  Intercollegiate Athletics Division II championship game; she was
  named a first-team All-American for her exceptional play that
  season, and she established several TSU records during her years at
  the university that still stand today; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Curtis now serves as the head coach of the girls'
  track team and as an assistant coach for the girls' basketball team
  at her alma mater, Georgetown High School, where she was a star
  basketball player before her collegiate career; and
         WHEREAS, With her outstanding performance as a member of the
  1991-1992 TexAnns, Kristin Curtis was instrumental in helping TSU
  women's basketball to attain greater national prominence, and it is
  indeed fitting that she and her teammates be recognized for their
  notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Kristin Curtis on her induction
  into the Tarleton State University Athletic Hall of Fame as a member
  of the 1991-1992 TexAnns basketball team and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Curtis as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
