R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Austin Zamarripa, a senior at Liberty Hill High |
|
|
School, is an outstanding role model for his fellow students; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Born in San Antonio, Mr. Zamarripa has lived in |
|
|
Liberty Hill for seven years; he maintains an A average and plays |
|
|
second base for his school's baseball team, yet in spite of his busy |
|
|
schedule, he takes time to serve as a mentor to students at Mitchell |
|
|
Elementary in Georgetown; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Zamarripa has been volunteering at the school, |
|
|
where his mother works, for the past two years, helping children |
|
|
with their homework and arts and crafts projects and playing with |
|
|
them at recess; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Whether sharing his time and energy with young |
|
|
Texans, excelling in the classroom, or scoring crucial runs for his |
|
|
team, Austin Zamarripa distinguishes himself as a leader among his |
|
|
peers, and it is a pleasure to honor him for his generosity and |
|
|
dedication; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Austin Zamarripa for his |
|
|
accomplishments as a student-athlete and community volunteer and |
|
|
extend to him best wishes for success in his future endeavors; and, |
|
|
be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Zamarripa as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
