R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Residents of Milam County gathered on March 22,
  2013, to celebrate the dedication of the Army Master Sergeant
  Charles L. Price III Memorial Highway; and
         WHEREAS, Part of U.S. 77, the roadway stretches from the
  northern city limits of Rockdale to southeast of Cameron; and
         WHEREAS, The thoroughfare pays tribute to the life of Army
  Master Sergeant Charles L. Price III, who was killed in action in
  Afghanistan on August 12, 2011; a Cameron native, he graduated from
  C. H. Yoe High School and went on to serve his country in the Persian
  Gulf War, Kosovo, and Iraq, as well as in the Balkans and Kuwait;
  over the course of his distinguished military career, he earned
  more than two dozen honors, including the Bronze Star, the
  Meritorious Service, the Army Commendation, and the Army
  Achievement Medals; and
         WHEREAS, This courageous soldier embodied the highest ideals
  of the U.S. armed forces, and the portion of the highway named for
  him serves as a lasting reminder of his tremendous sacrifice in
  behalf of this nation; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commemorate the dedication of the Army Master
  Sergeant Charles L. Price III Memorial Highway and commend all
  those responsible for bringing this important project to fruition.
