R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The well-being of the citizens of this state depends |
|
|
on businesses that not only employ Texans and contribute to local |
|
|
economies but also act as good corporate citizens in their |
|
|
communities, and Alice Chevrolet is indeed one such company; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In March 2013, owner Pete Ganis presented the local |
|
|
Boys & Girls Club chapter with the keys to a new van; the |
|
|
15-passenger vehicle will be used for special outings as well as to |
|
|
transport members to and from their homes; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Boys & Girls Clubs work to inspire young people to |
|
|
realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring |
|
|
individuals, and Alice Chevrolet has made a valuable contribution |
|
|
to this important initiative; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Alice Chevrolet for its generous donation |
|
|
to the local Boys & Girls Club and extend to Pete Ganis and his staff |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the business as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
