R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Taylor Couzens of Pilot Point High School was named |
|
|
a Senior of the Month for February 2013 by the Lake Ray Roberts |
|
|
Rotary Club; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of Gary and Lori Robinson, this dynamic |
|
|
young Texan is active as a member of the National Honor Society, |
|
|
Beta Club, and student council; moreover, she is captain of the |
|
|
varsity cheer squad and helps around campus by working at |
|
|
concession stands during games, painting signs, and assisting with |
|
|
sports camps; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In addition to her extracurricular activities, |
|
|
Ms. Couzens volunteers her time throughout the community, |
|
|
participating in the Pilot Point Trash-Off, tree planting events, |
|
|
blood drives, canned food collections, and fund-raisers for the |
|
|
troops; following her graduation, Ms. Couzens plans to pursue a |
|
|
bachelor's degree in nursing at The University of Texas at |
|
|
Arlington; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Taylor Couzens has maintained a high level of |
|
|
academic achievement while serving the greater good, and her |
|
|
accomplishments thus far herald a future bright with promise; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Taylor Couzens on being named a |
|
|
Senior of the Month for February 2013 by the Lake Ray Roberts Rotary |
|
|
Club and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Couzens as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
