R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Members of the Priddy High School Agricultural
  Mechanics Team were named the Overall Grand Champions at the 2013
  Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Agricultural Mechanics Project
  Show competition; and
         WHEREAS, Led by teacher Barry Randolph, students Logan
  Randolph, Landon Hood, Lena Hood, Caitlyn Cagle, Walker Peters,
  Gatlin Peters, and Tanna Cupps won the contest with their portable
  buffalo chute; the team's project was chosen the best out of more
  than 400 others from across the Lone Star State, and their
  championship winnings included a selection of tools worth $20,000;
  and
         WHEREAS, During the competition, the Priddy students'
  buffalo chute was judged on its degree of difficulty and
  practicality and its workmanship and appearance, and the judges
  also analyzed the students' ability to articulate the complexities
  of their design; and
         WHEREAS, The ambitious project was sponsored by Charles
  Addington and his family from Lubbock, who will use the chute and
  pen on their buffalo ranch in New Mexico; and
         WHEREAS, Through creativity and initiative, these young
  Texans have won the respect of their competitors and classmates,
  and the confidence, skills, and experience they have gained will be
  of great benefit to them in their future endeavors; now, therefore,
  be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Priddy High School
  Agricultural Mechanics Team on being named the overall grand
  champions of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Agricultural
  Mechanics Project Show and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That official copies of this resolution be prepared
  for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of
  Representatives.
