R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Christopher
  Orr has ably served his fellow Texans as a legislative aide in the
  office of State Representative J. D. Sheffield; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Orr has contributed to
  the workings of state government firsthand; in addition to learning
  more about the legislative process and issues facing citizens of
  the Lone Star State, he has gained valuable work experience in the
  field of public service; his responsibilities in Representative
  Sheffield's office have included performing research and handling
  constituent contact activities; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Orr earned his bachelor's degree in English from
  The University of Texas at Austin in 2010; he is currently enrolled
  at Texas State University, where he is seeking a master's degree in
  public administration and conducting an applied research project on
  change management and enterprise resource planning; throughout his
  college years, this hardworking and versatile young man has
  supported himself with a variety of occupations, having been
  employed as a writing tutor, a social media consultant and website
  evaluator, and a customer service representative for Apple
  specializing in consumer safety issues; and
         WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan is an outstanding
  student who has performed his duties as a legislative intern with
  skill and dedication, and he is indeed deserving of special
  recognition for his work and achievements; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Christopher Orr for his service as a
  legislative aide in the office of State Representative
  J. D. Sheffield and congratulate him on the upcoming completion of
  his master's degree at Texas State University; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Orr as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
