R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Larry and Diane Huston have been named Man and Woman
  of the Year by the Hawkins Area Chamber of Commerce; and
         WHEREAS, The Hustons are very active in the chamber, and
  Mr. Huston served as president for two years; in addition, he has
  worked extensively with vendors at the Hawkins Oil Festival; and
         WHEREAS, Giving generously of his time and talents,
  Mr. Huston has also benefited the Association of Lake Hawkins
  Property Owners through his dedicated efforts; he served as
  president of the organization for two years; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Huston have shared a fulfilling
  relationship of nearly a half-century, and they take great pride in
  their three children and seven grandchildren; they began their
  journey together as husband and wife in Davenport, Iowa, where
  Mr. Huston worked for Eagle Signal Controls before becoming an
  electrician for the city; subsequently, Mr. Huston served as an
  electrician for the city of Pueblo, Colorado; and
         WHEREAS, In 1985, the Hustons moved to Mesquite; Mr. Huston
  worked in the city's traffic department for 23 years and then took
  early retirement so that he and his wife could fulfill their dream
  of moving to Lake Hawkins; and
         WHEREAS, Larry and Diane Huston have demonstrated an
  exceptional commitment to making Lake Hawkins an even better place
  to live and to visit, and their efforts have earned the respect and
  appreciation of their fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Larry and Diane Huston on their
  selection as Man and Woman of the Year by the Hawkins Area Chamber
  of Commerce and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the Hustons as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
