R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Melanie Robertson was named the 2013 Educator of the |
|
|
Year at the Pittsburg-Camp County Chamber of Commerce Banquet; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In her role as head of the math department at |
|
|
Pittsburg High School, Ms. Robertson has demonstrated exceptional |
|
|
dedication to her students, arriving early and staying late to |
|
|
reinforce classroom lessons through tutoring; she has also earned |
|
|
the respect and appreciation of her fellow teachers by generously |
|
|
sharing lesson ideas with them; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Thanks in part to the outstanding efforts of |
|
|
Ms. Robertson, Pittsburg High students have exceeded expectations |
|
|
on standardized achievement tests; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A quality education is vital in order for our young |
|
|
people to become successful adults, and Melanie Robertson |
|
|
exemplifies the passion, determination, and enthusiasm that are the |
|
|
hallmarks of our best teachers; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Melanie Robertson on being named |
|
|
the 2013 Educator of the Year and extend to her sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success with her important work; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Robertson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
