R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Several members of the McGregor High School boys' |
|
|
basketball team received postseason accolades for their |
|
|
outstanding performances during the 2012-2013 season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Marcus Irons was chosen as the District 21-2A Most |
|
|
Valuable Player and earned a spot on the Waco Tribune-Herald Super |
|
|
Centex first team, while Jordan Najera was selected as Newcomer of |
|
|
the Year for both the district and Super Centex squads; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Named to the All-District first team were Brandon |
|
|
Sulak and Branden Dietzman; Hunter January was chosen for the |
|
|
All-District second team, and Jaret White and Chance Seale merited |
|
|
honorable mention nods; moreover, Mr. January, Mr. Dietzman, Mr. |
|
|
White, and Heath Huffman were included on the All-Academic team; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, These talented student-athletes have demonstrated |
|
|
notable skill and dedication, and their accomplishments are a |
|
|
source of pride to their school and community; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the McGregor High |
|
|
School boys' basketball team who received honors for their efforts |
|
|
during the 2012-2013 season and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for each of the players as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
