R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, J. L. and Mildred Cooper of Lubbock celebrated their
  60th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2013, and they may indeed
  reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared;
  and
         WHEREAS, J. L. Cooper and the former Mildred Drake exchanged
  the vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in Sentinel, Oklahoma, in
  1953, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each
  other a loving life partner; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper count among their blessings a
  fine family that includes a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Reta
  Cooper, as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren,
  with whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and
         WHEREAS, For six decades, J. L. and Mildred Cooper have
  brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it
  is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate J. L. and Mildred Cooper on their
  60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for
  continued happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cooper as an expression of high regard by
  the Texas House of Representatives.
