R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, J. L. and Mildred Cooper of Lubbock celebrated their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary on March 29, 2013, and they may indeed |
|
|
reflect with joy on the rewarding relationship they have shared; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, J. L. Cooper and the former Mildred Drake exchanged |
|
|
the vows of matrimony at a ceremony held in Sentinel, Oklahoma, in |
|
|
1953, and over the course of their marriage, they have found in each |
|
|
other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Cooper count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Reta |
|
|
Cooper, as well as two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, |
|
|
with whom they treasure sharing many special occasions; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For six decades, J. L. and Mildred Cooper have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate J. L. and Mildred Cooper on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Cooper as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
