R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Diana Pendley of Prosper is an outstanding educator |
|
who truly merits special recognition for her 25 years of dedicated |
|
service to the Prestonwood Baptist Church Children's Ministry |
|
Program; and |
|
WHEREAS, A member of the church since 1985, Mrs. Pendley |
|
joined the staff of the Children's Ministry in 1988; providing |
|
instruction and spiritual guidance to students in grades one |
|
through six, she develops creative and innovative instructional |
|
materials and organizes fun activities for youth that support the |
|
work and teachings of her church and religious community; today, |
|
the ministry is active on three campuses with an enrollment of more |
|
than 2,000 children; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Pendley graduated from Liberty University and |
|
went on to earn her master's degree in religious education from |
|
Southwestern Theological Seminary; she has been married to Charles |
|
Pendley since 1991, and the couple are blessed with two children, |
|
Michael and Michaela; and |
|
WHEREAS, Diana Pendley consistently demonstrates by word and |
|
deed her commitment to the young people entrusted to her care, and |
|
she is a faithful steward of her responsibilities at the |
|
Prestonwood Baptist Church; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby honor Diana Pendley for her 25 years of service |
|
with the Prestonwood Baptist Church Children's Ministry Program and |
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Pendley as an expression of high regard by the |
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
