H.R. No. 1809
 
 
 
R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the
  passing of Ina Faye Minyard McGinnis of Troy on January 5, 2013, at
  the age of 84; and
         WHEREAS, The former Ina Minyard was born in Mingus on October
  19, 1928, to Harvey and Faye Minyard; after graduating from Gordon
  High School in 1946, she worked as a dental assistant; and
         WHEREAS, She found a life partner in Billy McGinnis, and the
  couple were married on June 10, 1949, in Strawn; they followed
  Mr. McGinnis's career to Idaho, South Dakota, Kansas, Iowa,
  Louisiana, Georgia, New Mexico, and Nevada before settling in Troy,
  where they lived for more than 30 years; along the way, they were
  blessed with four children, Robert, David, Michael, and Karen, and
  they later shared in the joy of welcoming five grandchildren into
  their family; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. McGinnis was a devoted member of the First
  Baptist Church of Troy and a lifelong Southern Baptist; she spent
  many years teaching church youth classes, and she was always
  available to students for advice and counsel; and
         WHEREAS, Although Ina McGinnis will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
  the hearts of all those who held her dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Ina Faye Minyard
  McGinnis and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family:
  to her husband, Bill; to her children, Robert, David, and Michael
  McGinnis and Karen Eicke; to her grandchildren, Jonathan, Matthew,
  Patrick, Lane, and Jordan; to her sister, Joy Lee Minyard Reasoner;
  and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Ina
  McGinnis.
