R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, There are no words that can adequately express the
  heartache felt at the tragic loss of Miguel A. Hernandez of Houston
  on March 3, 2013, at the age of 18; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Northbrook High School, Mr. Hernandez
  was a dedicated student who excelled academically, placing in the
  top 10 percent of his class; he was also a talented trumpet player
  in the school band; and
         WHEREAS, The first member of his family to attend college,
  Mr. Hernandez was a freshman at Texas A&M University at the time of
  his death; a general studies major, he participated in the Darling
  Recruiting Company in the elite Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, a
  rigorous program that requires exceptional mental commitment and
  physical training; and
         WHEREAS, Although the loss of a life so filled with promise
  brings immeasurable sorrow to his family and friends, Miguel
  Hernandez leaves behind many treasured memories that may comfort
  those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Miguel A. Hernandez
  and extend deepest sympathy to his many loved ones; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Miguel
  Hernandez.
