R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, There are no words that can adequately express the |
|
heartache felt at the tragic loss of Miguel A. Hernandez of Houston |
|
on March 3, 2013, at the age of 18; and |
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Northbrook High School, Mr. Hernandez |
|
was a dedicated student who excelled academically, placing in the |
|
top 10 percent of his class; he was also a talented trumpet player |
|
in the school band; and |
|
WHEREAS, The first member of his family to attend college, |
|
Mr. Hernandez was a freshman at Texas A&M University at the time of |
|
his death; a general studies major, he participated in the Darling |
|
Recruiting Company in the elite Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, a |
|
rigorous program that requires exceptional mental commitment and |
|
physical training; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although the loss of a life so filled with promise |
|
brings immeasurable sorrow to his family and friends, Miguel |
|
Hernandez leaves behind many treasured memories that may comfort |
|
those who held him dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Miguel A. Hernandez |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to his many loved ones; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Miguel |
|
Hernandez. |
