R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislature, Christopher S. Paxton
  has ably served his fellow Texans as legislative director in the
  office of State Representative Scott Sanford; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Paxton's resourcefulness and initiative are
  greatly appreciated by his colleagues, and his contributions to
  carrying forth Representative Sanford's legislative agenda have
  helped meet the needs of the constituents of House District 70; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Baylor University, Mr. Paxton holds a
  bachelor's degree in communication studies and political science,
  and he previously served as an intern in the U.S. House of
  Representatives; during his tenure with Representative Sanford's
  office, he completed a number of comprehensive research projects on
  such important topics as renewable energy, public education, and
  government spending; and
         WHEREAS, In addition to his legislative work, Mr. Paxton has
  given back to his community as an alternative election judge for
  Precinct 96 in Harris County, as a youth mentor, and an audiovisual
  production volunteer for church services; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed public employee has performed his
  duties as legislative director with skill and determination, and he
  is indeed deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby commend Christopher S. Paxton for his service as
  legislative director in the office of State Representative Scott
  Sanford and extend to him warmest best wishes for continued success
  in all his endeavors; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Paxton as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
