R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, April 13, 2013, was indeed a special day for Sarah |
|
|
Jane Jornayvaz and John Patrick Howell of Houston, for on that day |
|
|
they were united in marriage at St. Martin's Episcopal Church by the |
|
|
Reverend Martin J. Bastian; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a |
|
|
Mexican-themed reception at the Houston Country Club, with music |
|
|
provided by the Spazmatics of Austin and Fort Worth's Bulletproof |
|
|
Brass Band; the newlyweds later embarked on a honeymoon trip to the |
|
|
British Virgin Islands; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Eugene |
|
|
Jornayvaz; the groom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. John Francis |
|
|
Howell, Jr.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Sarah Jane Jornayvaz and "Jack" Howell met at The |
|
|
Kinkaid School in Houston, where they graduated with the class of |
|
|
2005; both went on to attend The University of Texas at Austin; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Jornayvaz was a member of Pi Beta Phi fraternity |
|
|
and earned a degree in Spanish in 2009; three years later, she |
|
|
received a nursing degree from The University of Texas Health |
|
|
Science Center at Houston School of Nursing, and today she works as |
|
|
a registered nurse in the labor and delivery unit of the Woman's |
|
|
Hospital of Texas; a 2009 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of UT-Austin, Mr. |
|
|
Howell earned degrees in Plan II Honors and economics; while in |
|
|
college, he participated in the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and |
|
|
the Silver Spurs honorary student service organization; he is |
|
|
employed as an associate at Denham Capital Management LP; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The wedding of Sarah Jane Jornayvaz and John Patrick |
|
|
Howell marks a profound deepening of a relationship that has grown |
|
|
in love, respect, and mutual regard with each passing day, and it is |
|
|
truly a pleasure to honor this fortunate couple as they begin their |
|
|
journey together as husband and wife; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Sarah Jane Jornayvaz and Jack |
|
|
Howell on the joyous occasion of their wedding and extend to them |
|
|
sincere best wishes for a lifetime of happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the couple as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
