R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
|
death of Jack David Ledkins of Mineola on March 6, 2013, at the age |
|
|
of 74; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Hamilton and Genievive Ledkins, Jack |
|
|
Ledkins was born on June 23, 1938, in Peterman, Alabama; he married |
|
|
Patsy Ledkins, and they shared five and a half decades of devoted |
|
|
matrimony that was further enriched by the addition of three sons, |
|
|
David, Daniel, and Mark; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Active in his community, Mr. Ledkins was a past |
|
|
president of the Rotary Club in Lindale and Mineola; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although Jack Ledkins will be deeply missed, |
|
|
cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in |
|
|
the hearts of all those who knew him; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Jack David Ledkins and |
|
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife, |
|
|
Patsy Ledkins; to his three sons, David Ledkins and his wife, Susan, |
|
|
Daniel Ledkins and his wife, Wendy, and Mark Ledkins and his wife, |
|
|
Alisa; to his brother, Felix Ledkins and his wife, Lorraine; to his |
|
|
sisters-in-law, Margaret Smith and Sue Price; to his seven |
|
|
grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jack |
|
|
Ledkins. |
