R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, After more than a quarter-century of outstanding
  employment with the state, Neomi Raad is retiring from the Early
  Childhood Intervention Services Division of the Texas Department of
  Assistive and Rehabilitative Services on May 10, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, A native of San Marcos, Ms. Raad earned a bachelor's
  degree in social work from Texas State University in 1980 and went
  on to pursue a career in child care management and policy making;
  and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Raad has worked for a number of agencies through
  the years, including Child Care Management Services for Tarrant
  County and Travis County, the Texas Workforce Commission, and the
  Texas Department of Human Services; during her tenure with DARS
  ECI, she has been an indispensable member of the ECI Advisory
  Committee, and she has worked closely with families involved in the
  ECI program; moreover, she has contributed her expertise to the
  enhancement of ECI in an effort to ensure that children achieve
  their developmental goals; and
         WHEREAS, Neomi Raad has distinguished herself with her
  professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence, and her
  accomplishments have benefited many families in the Lone Star
  State; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Neomi Raad on her retirement from
  the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Raad as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
