R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Martha Harris of Mineola is retiring from City |
|
|
National Bank in 2013, drawing to a close a distinguished career in |
|
|
banking that has spanned more than four decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Dallas, Ms. Harris grew up in Grand |
|
|
Saline, McKinney, and Mesquite; she began to work in the banking |
|
|
industry in 1972 when she took a job at the First National Bank of |
|
|
Richardson, where she gained valuable experience in bookkeeping, |
|
|
credit, loans, and new accounts; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Harris moved with her husband, Tommy, to Mineola |
|
|
in 1978 and was subsequently hired at the First National Bank of |
|
|
Mineola; over the years, she served in a variety of positions, |
|
|
including vice president and loan officer, compliance officer, |
|
|
secretary to the board of directors, senior vice president, and |
|
|
executive vice president; she continued with the bank after it |
|
|
became City National Bank in March 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedication and professionalism, Martha |
|
|
Harris has earned the lasting respect and admiration of her |
|
|
colleagues, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a job well done |
|
|
as she looks forward to the next exciting chapter of her life; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Martha Harris on her retirement |
|
|
from City National Bank and extend to her sincere best wishes for |
|
|
the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Harris as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
