R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Horses for Heroes float was awarded first place |
|
|
honors at the 2012 McLennan County Veterans Day Parade; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Administered by REACH Therapeutic Riding Center in |
|
|
McGregor, Horses for Heroes was developed to aid wounded or injured |
|
|
veterans as they adjust physically and emotionally to civilian |
|
|
life; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This important initiative is overseen by Karen |
|
|
Fraser, coordinator, and Larry Barnett, executive director of |
|
|
REACH; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Together, these notable Texans are making a positive |
|
|
difference in their community, and the occasion of this award |
|
|
provides a fitting opportunity to honor them for their important |
|
|
work; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate all those involved with the Horses |
|
|
for Heroes program on winning first place float at the McLennan |
|
|
County Veterans Day Parade and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the group as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
