R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Kelly Mantle of the Northside Independent School |
|
|
District in San Antonio has been named the 2013 Assistant Principal |
|
|
of the Year for District 20 by the Texas Elementary Principals and |
|
|
Supervisors Association; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Each year, TEPSA pays tribute to school |
|
|
administrators in each of 20 districts in the state who have |
|
|
demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Mantle is vice principal of Christian Evers |
|
|
Elementary School, which serves nearly 900 students in |
|
|
prekindergarten through fifth grade; a native of San Antonio, she |
|
|
attended Northside schools and went on to earn a bachelor's degree |
|
|
in interdisciplinary studies from The University of Texas at San |
|
|
Antonio and a master's degree in educational leadership; before |
|
|
joining the administration at Evers, she taught for 15 years at |
|
|
Howsman Elementary; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Kelly Mantle has made a positive difference in the |
|
|
lives of many young Texans, and her receipt of this award reflects |
|
|
the high regard in which she is held by her peers; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kelly Mantle on her selection as |
|
|
the 2013 Assistant Principal of the Year by the Texas Elementary |
|
|
Principals and Supervisors Association for District 20 and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Mantle as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
