R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may serve
  to comfort those saddened by the passing of Hector M. Lopez, Sr., of
  Robstown on March 27, 2013, at the age of 62; and
         WHEREAS, Born in Robstown on March 31, 1950, to Manuel B. and
  Trinidad M. Lopez, Hector Lopez grew up with the companionship of
  three brothers and six sisters; he became a businessman and the
  longtime owner of Lopez Handy Stop, where customers and friends
  would gather every morning with him to enjoy breakfast tacos; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Lopez enjoyed the love and
  support of his wife of 39 years, Sylvia Garcia Lopez; the couple
  were blessed with two children, Erica and Hector, and over time,
  they shared in the joy of welcoming three grandchildren, Aryela,
  Adreyan, and Abryana, into their lives; and
         WHEREAS, Although Hector M. Lopez will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in his company will long endure in
  the hearts of his family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Hector M. Lopez,
  Sr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Sylvia Garcia Lopez; to his daughter, Erica Lopez Luera,
  and her husband, Jeremy; to his son, Hector M. Lopez, Jr.; to his
  grandchildren, Aryela, Adreyan, and Abryana Luera; to his brothers,
  Manuel Lopez and his wife, Rosaena, Oscar Lopez and his wife,
  Rosario, and Robert Lopez; to his sisters, Sylvia Lopez, Ofelia
  Trevino and her husband, Gilbert, Martha Leo and her husband, John,
  Cindy Lopez and Lupe Canales, Rosalinda Martinez and her husband,
  Arturo, and Melinda Gonzalez and her husband, Mario; to his
  brother-in-law, Ernesto Garcia, and his wife, Lupita; to his
  sisters-in-law, Rosalinda Casarez and her husband, Robert, Viola
  Ysassi, Noelia Gonzalez, and Idalia Garcia; and to his other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Hector M.
  Lopez, Sr.
