R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Alba-Golden High School girls' basketball coach |
|
|
Brad Gibson has been honored as a 2013 Coach of the Year by the Tyler |
|
|
Morning Telegraph; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Formerly an assistant coach at Winnsboro High |
|
|
School, Coach Gibson excelled in his debut season as the head coach |
|
|
for Alba-Golden; under his able guidance, the Lady Panthers |
|
|
finished with an outstanding record of 28 wins and just 8 defeats |
|
|
and reeled off three postseason victories before falling in the |
|
|
regional semifinal round of the University Interscholastic League |
|
|
2A playoffs; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Exceptional coaches inspire athletes to perform at |
|
|
the peak of their abilities, and the commitment and leadership |
|
|
demonstrated by Brad Gibson have helped the Lady Panthers to become |
|
|
a source of great pride and excitement in the local community; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Brad Gibson on his selection as a |
|
|
2013 Coach of the Year by the Tyler Morning Telegraph and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Coach Gibson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
