R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Mineola High School girls' basketball coach Clayton |
|
|
Harris has been honored as a 2013 Coach of the Year by the Tyler |
|
|
Morning Telegraph; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In his inaugural season at Mineola, Coach Harris |
|
|
placed a strong emphasis on defense, and the Lady Jackets tallied |
|
|
more than two dozen steals per game; as a result of its tenacious |
|
|
play, the team finished with an outstanding record of 29-5, claimed |
|
|
the district title, and qualified for the University |
|
|
Interscholastic League 3A playoffs for the first time in school |
|
|
history; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The skillful guidance provided by Clayton Harris has |
|
|
enabled the Mineola Lady Jackets to reach a new level of success, |
|
|
and he is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Clayton Harris on his selection as |
|
|
a 2013 Coach of the Year by the Tyler Morning Telegraph and extend |
|
|
to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Coach Harris as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
