R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Britt Brandon |
|
|
has ably served his fellow Texans as an intern in the office of |
|
|
State Representative Drew Springer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Brandon has |
|
|
contributed to the workings of state government firsthand; in |
|
|
addition to learning more about the legislative process and the |
|
|
issues facing citizens of the Lone Star State, he has gained |
|
|
valuable work experience in the field of public service; throughout |
|
|
the session, he has provided important assistance in such areas as |
|
|
research and constituent casework; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Brandon is a junior at The University of Texas |
|
|
at Austin, where he is actively involved in campus life; he is a |
|
|
member of Kappa Sigma Tau and Sigma Alpha Lambda and a recipient of |
|
|
scholarships from both the Terry Foundation and the Coca-Cola |
|
|
Scholars Foundation; he previously served as an intern for |
|
|
Congressman Michael McCaul; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed his duties |
|
|
as a legislative intern with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
|
be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Britt Brandon for his service as a |
|
|
legislative intern in the office of State Representative Drew |
|
|
Springer and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
success in all his future endeavors; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Brandon as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
