R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Christopher Michael Cox has been participating in
  the 2013 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program, and during
  the 83rd Legislative Session, he has ably served his fellow Texans
  as an aide in the office of State Representative Justin Rodriguez;
  and
         WHEREAS, Sponsored by the Mexican American Legislative
  Leadership Foundation, this program offers outstanding university
  students and recent graduates an opportunity to serve as full-time
  policy interns in the offices of members of the Mexican American
  Legislative Caucus and to gain experience working with the Texas
  Legislature; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Central Catholic High School, Mr. Cox
  attends The University of Texas at San Antonio, where he is studying
  public administration; he has taken part in the City of San Antonio
  Ambassador Program and the Texas Democratic Party's Promesa
  Project, a voter engagement initiative; he cites the work ethic
  instilled in him by his parents, Joe and Eydee Cox, as a major
  inspiration; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure at the State Capitol,
  Christopher Cox has been of great assistance to Representative
  Rodriguez's office, while acquiring knowledge of issues facing
  citizens of the Lone Star State; he has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and he
  may indeed look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Christopher Michael Cox as a participant
  in the 2013 Moreno/Rangel Legislative Leadership Program and
  commend him for his notable contributions to the legislative
  process; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Cox as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
