R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Adolph |
|
Walters, Jr., of Silsbee, who passed away on April 7, 2013, at the |
|
age of 65; and |
|
WHEREAS, A Beaumont native, Mr. Walters served with the |
|
United States Army during the Vietnam War and endured hardships as a |
|
prisoner of war during that conflict; after his return to civilian |
|
life, he worked as a painter and carpenter; he was a lifetime member |
|
of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, and he |
|
taught adult Sunday school at Friendship Baptist Church in Buna; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, "J. R." Walters was devoted to his wife, Frances, |
|
and to their beloved family; he was preceded in death by his |
|
daughters, Caroletta Lynn Dryden and Frances Ann Dryden; and |
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan treasured the time he spent in |
|
the company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind |
|
will in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man; |
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Adolph Walters, |
|
Jr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to |
|
his wife, Frances Walters; to his children, Billy Dryden and his |
|
wife, Rena, Isom Dryden and his wife, Danna, Brad Walters, D'Juana |
|
Mott, Donna Dowell, and Teresa Campise; to his sister, Linda |
|
Campbell, and her husband, Dennis; to his 10 grandchildren and 5 |
|
great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Adolph |
|
Walters, Jr. |
