R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Adolph
  Walters, Jr., of Silsbee, who passed away on April 7, 2013, at the
  age of 65; and
         WHEREAS, A Beaumont native, Mr. Walters served with the
  United States Army during the Vietnam War and endured hardships as a
  prisoner of war during that conflict; after his return to civilian
  life, he worked as a painter and carpenter; he was a lifetime member
  of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, and he
  taught adult Sunday school at Friendship Baptist Church in Buna;
  and
         WHEREAS, "J. R." Walters was devoted to his wife, Frances,
  and to their beloved family; he was preceded in death by his
  daughters, Caroletta Lynn Dryden and Frances Ann Dryden; and
         WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan treasured the time he spent in
  the company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind
  will in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Adolph Walters,
  Jr., and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Frances Walters; to his children, Billy Dryden and his
  wife, Rena, Isom Dryden and his wife, Danna, Brad Walters, D'Juana
  Mott, Donna Dowell, and Teresa Campise; to his sister, Linda
  Campbell, and her husband, Dennis; to his 10 grandchildren and 5
  great-grandchildren; and to his other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Adolph
  Walters, Jr.
