R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The Galveston County Sheriff's Office Mental Health
  Division has earned the title of Community Champion from the
  Galveston County Daily News; and
         WHEREAS, A vital program of the Sheriff's Office, the Mental
  Health Division works to help individuals in crisis avoid
  incarceration; and
         WHEREAS, The department benefits from the dedicated efforts
  of Reserve Captain Booker T. Joseph, investigator Krystal Stinson,
  Lieutenant Jaime Castro, investigator Jamie Crabtree, investigator
  Wayne Cook, Sergeant David Ramirez, and administrative assistant
  Brenda Hughes; and
         WHEREAS, These notable Texans have made a positive difference
  in many lives, and it is a pleasure to honor them for their
  contributions to their fellow residents; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the Galveston County Sheriff's
  Office Mental Health Division on earning the Community Champion
  Award from the Galveston County Daily News and extend to all those
  associated with the group best wishes for continued success; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the division as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
