R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Greg Smith has been named a Community Champion by |
|
|
the Galveston County Daily News; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give freely of their time and |
|
|
talents to benefit others make the world a better place through |
|
|
their actions and their example, and Mr. Smith is one such person; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his work as superintendent of the Clear |
|
|
Creek Independent School District, this notable Texan has |
|
|
demonstrated outstanding leadership and generosity of spirit and |
|
|
has earned the heartfelt admiration of all who know him; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Compassionate and dedicated, Mr. Smith has enriched |
|
|
many lives, and it is a pleasure to honor him for his contributions |
|
|
to his fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Greg Smith on his designation as a |
|
|
Community Champion by the Galveston County Daily News and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
