R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Vera Bell-Gary has been named a Community Champion |
|
|
by the Galveston County Daily News; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Those individuals who give freely of their time and |
|
|
talents to benefit others make the world a better place through |
|
|
their actions and their example, and Ms. Bell-Gary is one such |
|
|
person; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her work with the 1867 Settlement Community, |
|
|
this notable Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership and |
|
|
generosity of spirit and has earned the heartfelt admiration of all |
|
|
who know her; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Compassionate and dedicated, Ms. Bell-Gary has |
|
|
enriched many lives, and it is a pleasure to honor her for her |
|
|
contributions to her fellow citizens; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Vera Bell-Gary on her designation |
|
|
as a Community Champion by the Galveston County Daily News and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bell-Gary as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
