R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Macy Nix has |
|
|
ably served her fellow Texans as an intern in the office of State |
|
|
Representative Drew Springer; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A junior at the McCombs School of Business at The |
|
|
University of Texas at Austin, Ms. Nix belongs to Delta Delta Delta |
|
|
sorority and is an active presence on her campus; she has drawn on |
|
|
skills she has learned in business classes to meet her |
|
|
responsibilities as an intern; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Nix previously gained experience as an intern |
|
|
with former State Representative Wayne Christian in 2012, handling |
|
|
constituent casework; she joined the senate campaign of Ted Cruz in |
|
|
the fall, setting up fund-raising and outreach events in several |
|
|
Texas cities and making calls to supporters and voters; in her |
|
|
current position with Representative Springer, she handles |
|
|
numerous duties, including research and administrative tasks; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, By contributing many hours of hard work, Macy Nix |
|
|
has helped to ensure that the constituents of House District 68 and |
|
|
the citizens of the Lone Star State are well served, and she is |
|
|
indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby honor Macy Nix for her service as an intern in |
|
|
the office of State Representative Drew Springer and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success in all her endeavors; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Nix as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
