R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Over the last five months, Elizabeth Custy has acted |
|
as an excellent example of the deep-rooted ideals of Texas while |
|
pursuing her advertising dreams in New York City; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Elizabeth Custy's fearless commitment to |
|
conservatism and rebranding the Republican Party, along with her |
|
creative insights and talents in design, played a crucial role in |
|
sending U.S. Senator Ted Cruz to Washington D.C.; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Elizabeth Custy has volunteered much of her time |
|
and skills to Young Conservatives of Texas over the Session, |
|
playing a crucial role in multiple advocacy websites and |
|
strategizing the future of the organization; and |
|
WHEREAS, In addition to her political and advertising work, |
|
Ms. Elizabeth Custy has over the years played leadership roles in |
|
multiple organizations, including the Texas Tech Student |
|
Government, Daily Toreador, La Ventana Yearbook, Kappa Delta |
|
Sorority, College of Mass Communication Dean's Council, and Texas |
|
Tech Advertising Competition Team; and |
|
WHEREAS, This determined young woman is moving back to Texas |
|
to apply what she has learned in New York to politics in order to |
|
help ensure Texas remains a bastion of economic success and |
|
liberty; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby welcome Elizabeth Custy back to Texas and extend |
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success in all her |
|
endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Ms. Custy as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
