R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 90th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
|
cause for celebration, and E. J. Williamson of Polk County |
|
|
commemorated this special milestone on April 13, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, From the Great Depression and World War II to the |
|
|
dawn of the space age and the invention of the Internet, "Willie" |
|
|
Williamson has lived through an array of historic events and |
|
|
witnessed remarkable changes and marvels since his birth in 1923; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A source of wisdom and joy, he has brightened many |
|
|
lives over the years, and he is deeply cherished by his friends and |
|
|
family; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Willie Williamson is an inspiration to all who have |
|
|
the good fortune to know him, and his 90th birthday offers a welcome |
|
|
opportunity to remind him of the special place he holds in the |
|
|
hearts of his loved ones; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate E. J. "Willie" Williamson on his |
|
|
90th birthday and extend to him heartfelt best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Williamson as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
