R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Gloria B. Ash of El Paso marked a special milestone
  in her life with the celebration of her 50th birthday on April 30,
  2013; and
         WHEREAS, A graduate of Jefferson High School in El Paso,
  Mrs. Ash attended Texas Tech University and went on to earn a degree
  in elementary education from The University of Texas at El Paso; and
         WHEREAS, She is an outstanding educator who has benefited
  many students during her notable 21-year tenure with the Ysleta
  Independent School District; a fifth- and sixth-grade mathematics
  teacher at East Point Elementary School, she was honored by her
  school as the 2010 Teacher of the Year, and she was named one of the
  Top Ten Teachers of the Year in Ysleta ISD; and
         WHEREAS, Supported by a loving family, Mrs. Ash has shared
  more than two decades of marriage with Robert Ash, and the couple
  are the proud parents of two daughters, Kristen Nichole and Kelly
  Elizabeth; in addition to spending time with her husband and
  children, she enjoys traveling and visiting with friends; and
         WHEREAS, Respected and admired by all who are privileged to
  know her, Gloria B. Ash may reflect with pride on her many
  accomplishments, and it is a pleasure to join her loved ones in
  honoring her on this memorable occasion; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Gloria Ash on the occasion of her
  50th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future;
  and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Ash as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
