R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Gloria B. Ash of El Paso marked a special milestone |
|
|
in her life with the celebration of her 50th birthday on April 30, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Jefferson High School in El Paso, |
|
|
Mrs. Ash attended Texas Tech University and went on to earn a degree |
|
|
in elementary education from The University of Texas at El Paso; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She is an outstanding educator who has benefited |
|
|
many students during her notable 21-year tenure with the Ysleta |
|
|
Independent School District; a fifth- and sixth-grade mathematics |
|
|
teacher at East Point Elementary School, she was honored by her |
|
|
school as the 2010 Teacher of the Year, and she was named one of the |
|
|
Top Ten Teachers of the Year in Ysleta ISD; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Supported by a loving family, Mrs. Ash has shared |
|
|
more than two decades of marriage with Robert Ash, and the couple |
|
|
are the proud parents of two daughters, Kristen Nichole and Kelly |
|
|
Elizabeth; in addition to spending time with her husband and |
|
|
children, she enjoys traveling and visiting with friends; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Respected and admired by all who are privileged to |
|
|
know her, Gloria B. Ash may reflect with pride on her many |
|
|
accomplishments, and it is a pleasure to join her loved ones in |
|
|
honoring her on this memorable occasion; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gloria Ash on the occasion of her |
|
|
50th birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for the future; |
|
|
and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Ash as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
