R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund has
  received national recognition with its selection as the Small
  Public Fund of the Year by Money Management Intelligence; and
         WHEREAS, A daily information service covering institutional
  asset management, Money Management Intelligence annually
  recognizes pension funds that have excelled in the areas of
  performance, innovative investment strategy, and outstanding
  service; the editorial staff at Money Management Intelligence 
  praised the San Antonio fund for positioning itself to achieve
  steady performance amid continuing economic volatility; in
  addition, they noted that the board and investment committee
  distinguished themselves through their responsiveness to inquiries
  from pension plan participants; and
         WHEREAS, Led by executive director Warren Schott, the
  management team of the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund is
  dedicated to ensuring that the city's first responders will be
  financially secure in their retirement years, and this significant
  accolade reflects most favorably on its commitment to these
  deserving public servants; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate the San Antonio Fire and Police
  Pension Fund on its selection as the Small Public Fund of the Year
  by Money Management Intelligence and extend to all those associated
  with the fund sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for the San Antonio Fire and Police Pension Fund as an
  expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
