R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Jason William Robison of Boy Scouts of America Troop |
|
|
No. 157 in Lubbock has attained the rank of Eagle Scout, and this |
|
|
accomplishment truly merits special recognition; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Receiving the Eagle Scout badge is a significant |
|
|
honor, bestowed on only a small fraction of those who enter the |
|
|
scouting movement; in the course of meeting the rank's demanding |
|
|
criteria, Mr. Robison earned the requisite 21 merit badges, and he |
|
|
also successfully completed an Eagle Scout project of benefit to |
|
|
his community, which included improving a tree-lined path at Clapp |
|
|
Park that had suffered from erosion; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of John and Jill Robison, this fine young |
|
|
Texan has demonstrated outstanding leadership ability throughout |
|
|
his scouting career; a member of the Order of the Arrow, Mr. Robison |
|
|
has won the respect and admiration of his fellow scouts as he worked |
|
|
toward the highest rank that scouting offers; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Currently attending Texas Tech University, Mr. |
|
|
Robison is an active congregant of First Baptist Church, playing in |
|
|
musical groups and performing mission work in areas of need; this |
|
|
talented young Texan was salutatorian of his graduating class at |
|
|
Kingdom Preparatory Academy, where he was a scholar-athlete, |
|
|
participating in basketball and track and field, excelling at |
|
|
science fairs, and serving as treasurer for the National Honor |
|
|
Society; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Eagle Scout Robison's dedication to excellence and |
|
|
his perseverance in the pursuit of his goals have proven him worthy |
|
|
to stand among scouting's elite, and he may indeed reflect with |
|
|
pride on a job well done; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jason William Robison on achieving |
|
|
the rank of Eagle Scout and extend to him sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Robison as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
