R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, James and Ruby Rackler of Lubbock |
|
|
celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 24, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, James B. Rackler and the former Ruby Bowman were |
|
|
united in matrimony at a ceremony held in 1943; over the years, they |
|
|
have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has been made even richer |
|
|
with the addition of their children, James and Beverly, as well as |
|
|
three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past seven decades, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate James and Ruby Rackler on their |
|
|
70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Rackler as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
