R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Gene and Cookie Noland of Lubbock |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on April 20, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Gene Noland and the former Cookie Gaule were united |
|
|
in matrimony at a service held at Randolph Air Force Base in 1963; |
|
|
over the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has |
|
|
been made even richer with the addition of two daughters, Michelle |
|
|
and Katrina, as well as four grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past half century, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Gene and Cookie Noland on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Noland as an expression of high regard by |
|
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
