R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Loved ones will long cherish their memories of |
|
Barbara Ruth Long of Livingston, who passed away on April 3, 2013, |
|
at the age of 77; and |
|
WHEREAS, A native of Bessemer, Alabama, Barbara Long was born |
|
on February 22, 1936; over the years, she was blessed with two sons, |
|
Bill and Bob; and |
|
WHEREAS, This beloved matriarch was devoted to her family and |
|
also served as a source of wisdom and inspiration to her eight |
|
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Barbara Long |
|
will always remember her with great tenderness and affection; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Barbara Ruth Long and |
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her sons, |
|
Bill Long and his wife, Cindy, and Bob Long and his wife, Carrie; to |
|
her grandchildren, Craig and Robert Carter, Billy Wayne, David Lee, |
|
Wesley, Kimberley, and Reagen Long, and Cody Chaffin; to her |
|
great-grandchildren, Gabby, David, Marissa, Collin, and Alexis |
|
Long, and Katie, Liberty, and Avery Carter; to her brother-in-law, |
|
Tommy P. Long; and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it |
|
further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Barbara |
|
Ruth Long. |
