R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
death of Bettie Ann Antley of Dayton on April 2, 2013, at the age of |
|
74; and |
|
WHEREAS, Bettie Antley was the daughter of Selma and |
|
Christine Walling; she married Nolan W. Antley, Sr., and together |
|
they enjoyed caring for their blended family of five children; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Antley cherished her time with loved ones and |
|
was a source of comfort and nurturing to her 12 grandchildren and 18 |
|
great-grandchildren; among her favorite pastimes were playing |
|
bingo and cooking Cajun food; and |
|
WHEREAS, Those fortunate enough to have known Bettie Antley |
|
will always remember her with great tenderness and affection; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Bettie Ann Antley |
|
and extend deepest sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Nolan W. Antley, Sr.; to her sons, Mickey and Mitchell |
|
Montondon; to her stepson, Nolan Antley, Jr., and his wife, Mandi; |
|
to her stepdaughters, Carolyn Hartwick and her husband, George, and |
|
Darlene Burgess and her husband, Charles; to her grandchildren, |
|
Mickey Montondon II, April Montondon, Miranda Green, Danette Sides |
|
Pfaff and her husband, Mike, Thomas Sides, Jr., Charles Burgess, |
|
Jr., Ryan Howard, Nicholas Antley, Constance Alderson, Maylie |
|
Antley, Candace Edmonsteon, and Manae Lewis; to her |
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many friends; |
|
and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bettie Ann |
|
Antley. |
